Who we are:
We are an assembly of bible-believing Christians who meet regularly as a local church at 807 E. Michigan Ave., Battle Creek, MI.We have no denominational affiliation and are self-supported so we have no visible earthly head or leader, but are solely responsible to Christ who is the risen Head of the church.
Why we meet:
Because the Our Lord has told us to do so. We gather as a local assembly in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, claiming His promise that "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20)It has been instituted by our Lord in the New Testament in the words "This do ye in remembrance of me" (Matt. 26: 26-28; Mark 14: 22-24; Luke 22: 17-20; 1 Cor. 11: 23-30).
How often do we meet?
Every Sunday morning, we gather to observe the Lord's Supper - a remembrance meeting commemorating our Lord's Life, Death, Burial and Resurrection in order to secure our salvation.
What we practice:
In the Apostle Paul's words in 1 Corinthians, he quotes Jesus as saying "For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you do show the Lord's death until he comes."
What we preach:
" We believe that God's message of Salvation is his single most important communication to man - displaying his love for us, in that "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, the whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16. Our Lord's commission in Mark 16:15 - "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.
